What is Self-Enumeration?
Self-Enumeration (SE) is a process of the census under which residents can submit their family details themselves by filling them out online. As per the period notified by the State/Union Territory, the SE portal will remain active 15 days prior to the commencement of the door-to-door House Listing and Housing Census (HLO) conducted by the enumerator. In Madhya Pradesh, the self-enumeration process will take place from April 16 to April 30, 2026. After completing this process, a unique Self-Enumeration Identification Number (SE ID) will be generated.
- Official Portal: se.census.gov.in
- Prescribed Timeline: April 16 to April 30, 2026
- SE ID Generation: The user will receive an 11-digit Self-Enumeration ID (SE ID). It is mandatory to keep this safe.
- Verification: When the census official visits your home, you simply need to show them your SE ID. This will eliminate the need for them to re-enter the data.
