Ardhnarishwar Jyotirlinga

In Madhya Pradesh, along with the two Jyotirlingas of Mahakaleshwar and Omkareshwar, there is also a third Ardhnarishwar Jyotirlinga. This third Jyotirlinga is located in Mohgaon, 5 km from Sausar tehsil in the Pandhurna district. According to the Puranas, this Jyotirlinga is considered the “half-and-a-half” (sāḍe bārahvāṁ) Jyotirlinga. An amazing Ardhnarishwar temple is situated in Mohgaon Haveli, where Lord Bholenath is enshrined in his Ardhnarishwar form, fulfilling all desires. This site, located on the border of Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra, is at the central point of the Char Dham, twelve Jyotirlingas, and Tripur Sundari. From ancient times, the construction and architecture of this temple have been based on the Mahamrityunjaya Yantra. A large number of devotees from Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra visit this temple.
